Camp-o-Ween!

Sep 13, 2022 | News

Come and camp with your family during October half-term and enjoy our (not-so) scary Halloween Fest. We’re aiming our first ‘Camp-o-Ween’ festival at children aged 6 to 11 although everyone is welcome.

What is Camp-o-Ween?

The spooky fun begins on Friday. Arrive from 12pm and pitch your tent. We are looking for the most ghoulish pitch across the weekend so make sure you bring plenty of decorations with you. Meet the other families staying and enjoy time around the camp. As it starts to get dark, we will open up for trick-or-treating and then come back up to the clubhouse to enjoy a Fright-Night Kids Party with a Ghoulish Finger Buffet. We will include a glass of mulled wine for the adults and a ghostly punch for the kids.

On Saturday morning grab a warm drink and then join us for a continental breakfast. We will run spooky activities throughout the day for the children including a treasure-hunt; cupcake decorating (for everyone to enjoy later); pumpkin carving (please bring your own tools) and Halloween crafts. Grab a bowl of soup for lunch and then enjoy further activities in the afternoon. In the evening, we will be running a Halloween Bingo and Quiz night that you are all invited to. The night will include a meal of jacket potato with a choice of fillings (dietary requirements can be catered for) and free squash for the children. At the end of the quiz we’ll all go outside around the campfire for S’mores and then you can stay for some spooky stories if you wish. Fill up your hot-water bottle and then snuggle down for a night’s sleep (bring plenty of warm clothes and blankets).

On Sunday join us for a cooked breakfast before packing up your tent and heading home.

The camp is aimed at children between the ages of 6-11 although other ages are welcome. It is designed to be Halloween fun rather than scary. The weekend has been designed as family-fun and we politely ask that children are supervised by their parents at all times. Staff will be present to facilitate activities rather than supervise children.

How much does it cost?

The early-bird price for the ‘all-inclusive’ 2-night stay is £50 per pitch + £60 per person. A small pitch (3.5m x 4m) is just £30 per pitch + £60 per person. Dogs are welcome to join for free. This price is for all bookings made before the end of September.

The price includes: pitch with EHU, free use of showers, WiFi, communal fridges and mobile phone charging across your stay. The price also includes all activities, food and drink listed above. You can also help yourself to free hot drinks from our vending machine across the weekend and we’ll even fill up your hot water bottles for you each night!

Can I stay for longer?

If you want to enjoy some of Norfolk’s other Halloween attractions you can add additional nights to you stay for just £25 per pitch per night (with no additional cost per person). Why not explore Halloween events at some of our favourite places to visit:

How can I book?

To book, please visit our bookings page and select a 2-night break from Friday 28 October – Sunday 30 October. If you require additional nights, please contact us once you have made your booking and we will add these on for you. Once you have booked, you will receive an email asking for further details about the people staying including any dietary requirements.

Cancellations

Our usual cancellation policy will be in place. However, if the event is fully booked and we are able to resell your pitch, we will refund you the cost per person. The cost of the pitch is non-refundable.

If the event does not attract enough interest we reserve the right to cancel the event and offer a full refund. No other compensation will be given. This decision will be made on or before Friday 14 October.
